New scholarship launched for current students at Richmond
One of our alumni who graduated in 2014, Sean Steadman, is offering a new scholarship to support current students pursuing a degree in the arts. Sean completed a BA in Art Design and Media and then continued on the MA programme in Art History & Visual Culture.
This scholarship is in honour of Ana R. Jeff, Sean’s mother, who supported Sean throughout his studies and is a pivotal figure in his success. During Sean’s time at Richmond, his mother was his biggest supporter, helping Sean pay for supplies and keeping him motivated to express his talent to share with the world. In Sean’s words, “This scholarship is to honour her and any parent who is willing to support their child’s dream, no matter what.”
The scholarship of £500 is available for the academic year commencing in September 2023 to students at the University with a minimum 3.0 CGPA who are studying BA Art History & Visual Culture and BA Film & Photography. More details on the scholarship can be found on the Student Affairs website.
While Sean was in the UK recently, he gave a really interesting talk to students and staff on his life and career since graduation. He has also generously donated some of his paintings to the University which will go on display at the campus in the coming months. More details to be revealed!
