About
Elizabeth has an MA in Classics from Oxford University which instilled her interest in language, both ancient and modern. Her earlier career was in banking and marketing, but she then retrained via CELTA and DELTA qualifications to teach English as a foreign language to students of all ages and nationalities, both in the language school environment and at other local Universities.
She joined Richmond University in January 2003, and has taught English for Academic Purposes and Academic Research and Writing to first year students. She is now piloting a new form of FYS (First Year Seminar) course aimed at helping students with the transition to University and looking forward to future employability. In addition she teaches Latin to Primary School children who would not otherwise be offered it in their curriculum and is a school governor of a local Richmond Primary School. She sits on the Appeals panel for Richmond schools admissions.
